My Story

Hi, I’m Malena, and Emberfolk started with something very simple: walking.

It began with solo hikes — long walks where I could reconnect with myself, slow down, breathe, and sort through my thoughts. Being outdoors became my balance. A place to reset when life felt loud or overwhelming.

Over time, those quiet moments led to something else. Through my love for hiking, I met like-minded people who felt the same pull toward nature. Group hikes followed — sharing trails, conversations, and stillness with others. That sense of connection was deeply fulfilling and showed me how powerful it can be to experience the outdoors together.

And then there was Loki.

Before him, hiking was something I loved. With him, it became a daily rhythm. Long walks through the forest every day — not just on weekends, but woven into everyday life. What once felt like a task turned into a ritual. A moment to pause, breathe, and step out of the fast pace of modern life.

Emberfolk grew out of those moments.
